I pretty much forgot to continue these, but since I feel better after a little pick-me-up (thanks to you anons), I decided to find other things that make me happy about living.
17. How amazing my anons are. This deserved a category in itself, just because how sweet you guys are. Usually, it’s empty (which I don’t mind a whole lot, since I sometimes forget to reply, but I still love them anyhow), but seeing my inbox with such sweet things, well, it makes me realize they are amazing people out there. Just a few kind words can light up anyone’s day, no matter who they are.
18. Tennis. I’m not that great at it, but I really do love the sport. Unfortunately, I played kind of awful, not something I’m really proud of. But still, I got exercise, and it makes me happy knowing that I’m doing something I find fun and healthy at the same time.
19. Random conversations. They are awesome. Today, I got relationship advice from my PE teachers (both female), two people I would have never in a million years thought that I would be having this conversation with them. Good advice too.
20. Being with people I love. Honestly, what can get better than this? Nothing. Absolutely nothing. Because whether you succeeded or failed, you want to share it with someone who you care about.
- First day of summer. ‘Nuff said.
- The bands/singers I love. There’s a reason why I love them, and it’s because their music inspires me, it makes me happy. I can’t tell you how many times I’ll be stuck somewhere, whether in the car, at school, in my room, and I turn on the music. Most of the time, you’ll catch me with a dopey grin on my face, or just entirely spacing out, listening carefully to the beats, the melodies, the lyrics.
- Magazines. I’ll admit it, they’re one of my guilty pleasures. I’m not talking about the tabloids, but I occasionally read those. I’m talking Seventeen, Nylon, others that I’m completely blanking out on right now. I love the fashion ones. I usually hold on to them too, because they’re fun to look through from a while back, and they give me inspiration too.
- Boys. Hehe. They’re cute and adorable and hilarious. Unfortunately, none of them really like me. So, forever alone. But it’s ok! I don’t need them to have fun. I’ll just admire cute boy pictures and those who are bands, etc.
- Stuffed animals. They are so cute and fluffy and I just want to hug them all the time! (Just realized that could relate to guys too. Blah!)
- Life. I could go into this really deep thinking and explain how much life is and how much good it is to live, but I think I’ll leave it at, life rocks.
6. Food. Without it, we would die. Besides, a lot of it is yummy :)
7. Clothes. I love fashion, & even though I sometimes dress in just a tee shirt and jeans, I still love the times I can actually dress up. & the many different styles you can dress in is immense. You don’t even have to follow any stereotype. You can express yourself with clothes.
8. Summer. I love it. Lovelovelove. I love it when I go to the beach, lay down, close my eyes, and feel the warm sun beating on my skin (don’t forget the sunscreen!) and hearing the crash of the waves on the sand. I love being out of school, free of homework (well, I still get homework, but I can procrastinate on it for a long time.) It’s a time where I can hang out with friends and NOT complain about school. It’s hello ice cream and pools and goodbye stuffy classrooms and mean teachers.
9. Writing. I’ll admit it. I love to write. Do I write well? Not so much. I just love the fact that I can express all these different ideas in my head and be able to write it all down. Unfortunately, it’s not always as accurate as I would hope.
10. Dreams. I love to dream, whether it’s at night or just daydreaming about something completely random. It’s my inspiration for almost all the stories I want to write. It’s also a hope, a wish, a desire that I hope to fulfill. I’m a dreamer, not so much a doer. But to make my dreams come true, I’ve got to do things.
So each day or week (I might switch back & forth) I’m going to blog list 5-7 things that make me happy. I need to remind myself that there are amazing things in life, & not make a big deal out of the not-so-happy things.
So, to start off, #1:
- My family. Ok, so they may be irritating at times & I want them out of my hair, but they want the best for me, & I love them :)
- My friends. Honestly, I have the greatest friends. I absolutely love them. I don’t know what I would do without my friends. I’d probably be hiding under a rock.
- Music. Just in general, music is amazing. It doesn’t matter who you are, where you are, or what you are, music is all around you, & there’s something out there for everybody. You can relate to it, or you can just like how it sounds. Doesn’t matter.
- Tumblr. This is pretty much self explanatory. I love blogging. I love the different people on here, & meeting new friends from here. It’s absolutely amazing relating to others that might be on the other side of the world, & just talking to them. & scrolling through my dashboard to find awesome pictures.
- Love. I’m talking about all types of love. Not just the romantic kind, but a love for something you, well, love. Books, art, music, animals, tea, architecture, whatever! But I love how people can love one another. That makes me happy.
Pretty basic list, but it’ll get more specific as time goes on.
